Continuing with Venus. This scene depicts Venus delivering weapons to her son, Aeneas. Aeneas is found in Virgil’s Aeneid where he is constantly under siege by Juno (the Queen of the Gods). Aeneas is also featured in the opera and story of Dido and Aeneas.
